As part of its efforts to advance equitable digital transformation, the B20 South Africa Digital Transformation Task Force hosted a high-level engagement aimed at bridging South Africa’s systemic digital divide. With 2.6 billion people globally still offline, including roughly 25% of South Africans, the event highlights connectivity not as a technology issue, but as a development challenge and economic opportunity. The session spotlights Task Force recommendations aimed at unlocking a more inclusive digital economy, particularly in historically underserved regions and demographic groups.
